Today I want to talk about the vitamins for fighting cocks, since there are many options and, as in everything, some are good, some aren’t so much, and some are bad. I just want to give my opinion about those that I have used in my almost 11 years of cock. But remember, so that your animals are winners, you have to start with having a good gamefowl feeding guide in care in each and every one of the stages.

What Vitamins Do Roosters Need?
So that the birds can have an optimal performance during all their life and especially at the time of the game, the roosters need mainly 3 vitamins that must absorb in their feeding or by means of extraordinary applications orally or injected.
- Protein
- Minerals
- Aminoacids
These 3 ingredients are essential for the birds to be well at any time and to be able to develop their full genetic potential.
Homemade vitamins for fighting cocks
There are several homemade vitamin for fighting cocks. Particularly, the ones that I have used are garlic, honey, lemon, apple cider vinegar, and sometimes alfalfa or wheat.
Garlic and its properties in fine roosters
Garlic has been used as a homemade vitamin in rooster fights for a long time, as it has several properties that are beneficial for fowling birds. One of the reasons it is used is that it serves as a vermicide that, for been natural, it’s good for our roosters. It is a very potent antibiotic and also eliminates harmful bacteria, but the best thing is that it respects the bacterial flora (bacteria that are necessary for the proper functioning of bird organisms). Apart from these, it has other benefits: Helps to prevent and cure respiratory diseases, ant parasitic, stimulates the circulatory system.
Garlic contains a lot of sulfur among with iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and sodium. It also contains vitamin A- B1-B2-C and nicotinamide, which is very beneficial for our birds.

Garlic can be directly supplied to the cockfighting, chopping a tooth in 3 or 4 parts, opening the rooster’s beak and pulling it inside he’s mouth, or you can also crush a tooth to put it inside a liter drinker.
Bee honey is one of the best homemade vitamins for roosters
Bee honey has been used for thousands of years in humans, and it’s beneficial best medicine for cookfighting as well, since it has such properties as to be anti-inflammatory, soothing, antiseptic and antibacterial.
Honey to my consideration is the homemade vitamin for fighting cocks that works the best, as it contains vitamins A, D, E, B1, C, K; choline, as well as phosphorus, sodium, potassium, calcium, copper, aluminum, iron, zinc, manganese, lead, silica, sulfur and magnesium.
I use honey when I have roosters in position, I give it 3 times (0,39 to 0,78 inches per shot) between the first 10 to 15 days of care, and if it is cold time I give it another 2 or 3 times more when they are in break. This is to use it as vitamin K so for when got themselves cut, they do not bleed so much.
I also use it when the cocks are in feather time, since it contains vitamin E and this makes them develop a better plumage. I give them 0,78 inches each 4 times during the period.
Another way to use it is to dilute it in the chick’s water when they are less than one month old. Use 1 inch per liter of water, this helps to prevent respiratory diseases and, besides, it feeds them with vitamins, also when it is the northern time, I use it in the fighting cocks, stallions and chickens of breeding (in all the cockpit).

Lemon is another of the vitamins for fighting birds
Lemon is another of the natural vitamins for fighting cocks. As for it, the main characteristic of lemon is its high contribution of vitamin C, in addition to small amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2 and B3. It is a citrus rich in minerals, especially in potassium, it also contains magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, sulfur and others in smaller proportions.
The juice of a lemon (but a colonial one) is squeezed in 3 liters of water and it is offered daily for a period of no more than 5 days, avoiding parasitic and respiratory diseases, helping to keep the roosters at their ideal weight. I have used it only in large animals from 10 months up.
Apple vinager
More than being one of the vitamins for fine roosters, apple vinegar is used as a medicine to prevent some diseases, it is also a natural detoxifier for birds.
It is used as a natural inflammatory, serves to regulate the weight and it is used for respiratory diseases. I recommend supplying it 1 inch for each liter of water.
Super Vitamin B12 5500 for fighting cocks
Considered the best of the vitamin supply, Super Vitamin B12 5500 from Tornel laboratory, is the one that has worked the best for me, not for nothing it’s the most popular among the cock breeders, using it for all rooster breeds
It serves to stimulate the formation of red blood cells (hematopoiesis), for the treatment of macrocytic, pernicious and anemia; it’s a great stimulant of appetite and growth, and delays fatigue, as it fights toxic muscular hypoxemia.
The formula of super vitamin B12 5500 for fighting cocks, is reinforced with liver extract which makes it a direct influence on the processes of cell reproduction and renewal. This vitamin intervenes in the synthesis of proteins and acts directly in the formation of red blood cells, therefore, is very useful against classic, nutritive and pernicious anemias. That is why 5500 is one of the vitamins to prepare a fighting cock that you should not miss when it comes to position.
The B12 vitamin gamefowl is indicated to be applied in combat roosters, as well as horses and running dogs. Due to its biotin content it speeds up the change of feathers in fighting birds. For all the above there is no doubt that the B12 5500 is one of the best vitamins for fighting cocks.
Minerol
Minerol contains many minerals such as magnesium, cobalt, copper, zinc, manganese, calcium, sodium, potassium, and iron, among others.
Helps control non-specific diarrhea and also serves to compensate the detrimental effects of mycotoxins. For the raising process, it serves in improving the quality of the shell of the egg, you get a better incubation, and helps improve calcium levels and metabolism.
I use giving 0,39 inch per liter of water for 5 days each month during the breeding period, and I use it in hot seasons as well.
Antoplex

The antoplex is one of the vitamins for fine roosters that should not be missing in your cockpit. It contains all the essential vitamins of the B complex that act physiologically for the good state of general health; improve the growth and also produce an anti-anemic action.
Activated Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Nicotinamide (B3), Panthenol (B5), Pyridoxine (B6), Iron Citrate, Inositol and others.
I usually use it after a rooster has been sick to lift it faster, or in the feather losing season, to help for them to grow faster.
Red Cell
The Red Cell for gamefowl is one of the most complete vitamins for combat birds, since it serves as a nutritional supplement based on vitamins, iron and minerals of pleasant flavor for roosters, formulated to provide vitamins and minerals that may be missing in the daily diet of the animal.
Among that, it contains zinc sulfate, ferric sulfate, citric acid, ammonium hydroxide, choline chloride, potassium chloride, sorbitol, magnesium sulfate, vitamin E, vitamin A acetate, copper sulfate; it’s also irradiated with animal sterol D-activated (source of vitamin D-3), xanthan gum, thiamine hydrochloride, manganese sulfate, d-calcium pantothenate, sodium saccharin, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, cobalt sulfate, sodium menadione (source of vitamin K), bisulphite complex, sodium benzoate, Yucca schidigera extract, vitamin B-12 supplement, niacinamide, sodium bicarbonate, biotin, sodium selenite, kelp extract and ethylene diamine dihydroiodide; artificially flavored with cherry flavor.
Red Cell was specifically designed for horses but I have used it in roosters and it has given me very good results. If you think about using it, you can ask for opinions from experienced rooster breeders.
I have used it for roosters in posture putting a teaspoon of it in their food, giving it twice a week during the care. And in growing chickens I put them 0,78 to 1 inch per liter of water for 5 days.

Twin Caloric Supplement
It contains vitamins A, D, E, C, carbohydrates, carnitine and fats. This supplement is very high in calories so it provides a source of energy in:
- Sick birds, it helps them to quickly recover basic energy levels for a better response of medications.
- In animals in posture; improves its performance if it is used well in the tap.
- In roosters with a lack of weight or undernourished, it generates a gain in body weight and a quick recovery.
- In chickens, it provides a better physical and mental development as it also reduces the heat stress caused by the enclosure.
In my personal experience I have been using it for around 5 years and it has given me good results when it comes to raising the chickens, it also makes the roosters generate less heat.
In chickens under 2 months I give them 10 ml per liter of water 2 times per week, but in feather lose season I give 5 ml per liter of water for a week. In roosters in position I use it to give them in the tap from 1,9 to 3,9 inches mixed with their food. In the other animals I give 4 ml per liter of water for 5 days in a row every month, this applies to breeding lots.
Galliforte
Galliforte is a vitamin and mineral restorative that helps increase the strength, agility and resistance of roosters. It is indicated for the treatment of stress, metabolic disorders and vitamin deficiency, and as a nutritional gamefowl supplements.
The Galliforte potentiates the aggressive instinct of the rooster and stimulates the metabolic functioning of their body more precisely. At the time of the fight, stimulates the fixation and the supply of oxygen in the blood of the rooster, allowing to maintain vigor in the most critical moments.
It helps in the control of hemorrhages and stimulates the early healing of wounds. It also promotes the increase of organic resistance in situations of great tension are the period of change of feathers, posture and the transport of the rooster to the arena.
Improves growth, development and physical appearance of chickens and roosters (improves brilliance, color and quality of the feathers).
I use it in the cocks in posture giving him a pill 10 days before the fight and the last 5 days I give 2. I also give them once a week to the breeding lots since it also contains testosterone. It is another of the vitamins for fighting cocks that you should not miss.
Multivitamin
Multivitamin is one of the best vitamins for fowl birds, as it is a super special vitamin complex for chicks, roosters in reproduction and feather lose season. It contains high amounts of B complex and vitamins A, D and E.

It is an excellent formula with vitamins A, D3, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, nicotinamide, selenium and vitamin C.
Very recommended for convalescent birds from diseases or fights, to give after the vaccination and to avoid the loss of animals. Supply it to the chicks to raise their defenses, to their breeding lots to increase fertility and during the pre-posture stage to have your birds in optimal conditions.
It provides great strength and vitality to your cockpit. It contains the necessary vitamins to eliminate stress factors, increase development and redouble productivity.
In my experience I have used it during the posture as a complement, during the breeding of chickens I give it from 7 to 10 times a month, during the first 6 months. I use it in feather lose season for 10 to 15 days, and for the batches in reproduction I use it one week a month, giving 2 ml per liter of water for each case.

I know that these are not all the vitamins for fighting cocks that exist, I only gave my opinion of the ones I have tried and that have worked for me but everyone is free to try and use the ones they think are convenient. If you know other vitamins, I would like you to tell me in the comments and to enrich myself more from each and every one of the readers of this blog.
